About the Conservatory
We offer private lessons in piano, voice, speech arts, songwriting, or orchestral studies for students of all ages, in person in The Woodlands, Texas, or virtually on request.
Every student chooses the path that fits their goals. Our exam path follows a structured, graded curriculum that prepares students for recognized music exams, with steady progress in technique, theory, ear training, and repertoire.
Our non-exam path offers the same strong foundation with more flexibility, so students can focus on the music they love, from favorite songs and worship music to writing originals, at their own pace. Students can switch paths at any time as their goals grow.
The Heart and the Mind: Poetry's Great Love Affair
Every poem is a love affair between the heart and the mind. Feeling starts the poem, but craft is what keeps it alive. In this part of The Art of Speaking, our free 12-part poetry series, we explore why good writing matters as much as inspiration, and why every poem is also music.
Before the First Line: Getting Ready for The Art of Speaking
Poets are born, not made. But even the born poet has to learn the craft. Welcome to The Art of Speaking, a free 12-part speech arts series on poetry from The Woodlands Conservatory of Music. Here's what we'll learn, why craft matters, and how to get ready for Part One.
